Thomas Elder (Tommy) Davis was born at Faison's Old Tavern, Northampton County, NC on 4 Sep 1943. He attended school at Jackson and graduated with the class of 1961. Following a few years of aimless wandering, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy in April, 1964 a few weeks ahead of an anticipated greeting from his local Selective Service Board. He spent a few years chipping paint for the navy before finding an opportunity to attend the Electrical Engineering School at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in a navy enlisted to commissioned officer prigram. He obtained a BSEE from Purdue and was commissioned an Ensign in the navy on 6 June 1971. He went through flight training at Pensacola, FL and spent the next few years in several naval aviation assignments, including a three year tour in a P3 squadron deployed from NAS Brunswick, ME to numerous North Atlanitc and Mediterranean locations. In 1978, Tom resigned from the navy, returned to school at Purdue, obtained advanced degrees and in Jan, 1980 he began a career in the U. S. Air Force Research Laboratory system. He spent most of the next twenty odd years at Eglin AFB, FL working on a variety of RF and EO sensor based autonomous targeting weapons development programs. He retired from U. S. Government service in 1999 and currently resides with his lovely wife, Sumiko, in Gainesville, FL. Tom conducts online database searches for the

Fred Gary Ricks, Jr. was born at Creeksville, Northampton County, NC on 27 Apr 1938. He attended school at Conway and graduated with the class of 1956. He attended what is now North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and received a BS in Agricultural Engineering in 1961. After graduation, he worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville, TN, Union Camp Corporation in Franklin, VA, Rust Engineering Company in Calhoun, TN and the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) in Saudi Arabia. In 1980, he became a Process Control Consultant and worked on numerous projects in the industrial arena; a natural gas compression plant and pipeline project for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia, a paper machine and energy management system for Georgia Pacific Corporation in Ashdown, AR, a paper machine and energy management system for Blandin Paper in Grand Rapids, MN, an energy management system and resin plant for Union Camp Corporation in Savannah, GA, a chemical recovery boiler for New Zeland Forest Products in Tokoroa, NZ and numerous smaller projects. In 1992, he moved back to his childhood home in Creeksville, NC and is now actively involved in computer hardware and software repair, genealogy, graphics design and golfing. He can be reached at
